About

Stanford Swim Camp offers Technique & Training Camp and Training Camp sessions that include in-water instruction. Campers receive instruction on stroke technique, with focused work on all four strokes along with starts and turns.

• Ages: 9–17 years old
• Schedule: Camp runs Monday–Thursday in a full day 4-day camp format, and Friday–Sunday in a full day 3-day camp format.
• Price: 4-day camp $914 (includes all fees); 3-day camp $797 (includes all fees); 4-day camp $875 (includes all fees).

The Stanford Swim Camp leadership team includes Dan Schemmel and Marcus Noto Guttmann as Directors of the 2025 Stanford Swim Camps, and Chris Lindauer as the Paul A. Violich Director of Women’s Swimming and head coach. The camp is open to any and all entrants and is limited only by number, age, and gender. Upon arrival, campers are placed in groups with other swimmers that have similar abilities and goals. For safety and benefit, participants are recommended to have competitive swimming experience with all four competitive strokes (Fly, Back, Breast and Freestyle), experience diving into the water and with starts and turns, and need to be able to complete a continuous 200 yard swim. Due to high demand and limited spaces, prices are subject to increase as a camp session exceeds 25%/50%/75% capacity, and all 2026 registrations go through armssoftware.com.

Chris Lindauer has coached 10 individual national champions, 46 women’s NCAA All-Americans, and 49 men’s NCAA All-Americans during his 15-year coaching career. He has mentored a pair of Olympic gold medalists and 13 Olympic qualifiers and served on the USA National Team coaching staff from 2018–20. He led the Notre Dame men’s program to a program-best 10th place NCAA finish in 2024 and coached 2024 ACC Swimmer of the Year Chris Giuliano and 2023 ACC Freshman of the Year Tommy Janton, who combined for five ACC titles and 14 All-America honors. He coached First Team All-ACC honorees Madelyn Christman (200 back) and Maggie Graves (1650 free) in 2024. His success at Notre Dame earned him an assistant coach role for Team USA at the 2024 Olympic Games, where he worked with Chris Giuliano on a World record-breaking performance and Olympic Gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay and a silver medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay. Prior to Notre Dame, Lindauer spent 13 seasons at Louisville, most recently as associate head coach, coaching numerous Olympians and 12 NCAA champions, with student-athletes earning more than 100 All-America honors.
