A+ Tutoring

A+ Tutoring offers one-on-one private tutoring, small group tutoring, in-person tutoring, and online tutoring across school subjects. Activities include reading and writing and math tutoring, English Language Arts, math, science and history tutoring, foreign language and AP tutoring, entrance exams and diagnostic testing (SAT, ACT, ISEE, HSPT, IHP, Millikan, Science Academy), individualized test preparation for ACT, SAT and state tests, homework support, small learning pods, and college counseling.

About the provider

A+ Tutoring has been in business for over 15 years. The mission statement reads, "A+ Tutoring empowers every student to become their very best by providing personalized learning from expert tutors and collaborating with families to create educational strategies that deliver outstanding results." Tutors are certified teachers and graduate professionals, A+ Tutoring is a vendor at many schools, and A+ Tutoring Online operates as a California Tutor Referral Agency. A+ Tutoring provides tutoring services to youth served by First Place for Youth and has worked with them for 4.5 years.

Credentials for tutors are preferred but not required; A+ Tutoring accepts charter funds as a vendor at many schools; tutors provide notes from each session for easy reference; schedules are flexible and jobs for tutors are available on a continuing basis.
