Gracie Barra Studio City offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, NoGi, Muay Thai, fitness, advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and self-defense classes. The program includes options for kids, teens and adults, and also offers programs for women and for all levels starting from age 3 and up. Gracie Barra Studio City was founded in September 2024 and is based at the Gracie Barra Studio City Jiu Jitsu Academy, where one visitor described the training space accommodations as “almost wall to wall.” Programs are led by certified instructors, with a leadership team that includes Head Instructor Fabio Trindade and trainers Rodrigo Costa, Elizabeth Hawk, and Johnny Saadeh. Professor Fabio has been involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA for decades and is described as an expert in his craft and an amazing teacher for both adults and children, and Professor Rodrigo Costa is described as incredibly knowledgeable and supportive.
The mission of Gracie Barra Studio City is “Empowering minds, bodies, and spirits in Studio City, Los Angeles through the Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Fitness. Gracie Barra welcomes anyone who values discipline, wellness, self-defence, and respect. Through martial arts, we cultivate a well-balanced lifestyle.” The program offers free trial and free intro classes, as well as membership offers for the first 50 members, and notes that it has a supportive community. A grand opening and seminar by Romulo Barral is scheduled for May 3rd.
