Roughin It Day Camp

Roughing It Day Camp offers a Younger Camper Program for PreK and kindergarten, a 1st–4th Grade Program, and an Older Camper Program for 5th–10th grade. The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with extended care options, before-camp care, and after-camp care. It also offers free transportation with 33 central pick-up spots and buses that run from 8:00–9:00 am and 3:00–4:00 pm for the full camp day.

About the provider

Roughing It Day Camp was founded in 1972 and is celebrating over 50 years. Ann and Hobie Woods have been the camp directors for 50 years. Amy Woods is also part of the leadership team, and Cecilio is a third-generation camper. The camp’s mission is to help generations of children grow up to lead happy and meaningful lives.

Campers must be 4 years old by the start of their camp session and be fully potty trained. Campers must be positive members of their group and able to follow staff instructions and all the camp rules. Camper to counselor ratio is 4:1. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. All swim and waterfront staff are certified lifeguards.
