Silicon Valley Second School offers private piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, bass guitar, and voice lessons, along with music theory and ear training classes. The program also includes art classes, chess lessons, and math lessons. Lessons are by appointment only, and students participate in four to five recitals each year.

Silicon Valley Second School is an after-school enrichment center that offers music, art, chess, and math lessons under one roof. The school focuses on classical music because of its complexity and its role in teaching a holistic musical foundation. It follows a structured, academic-style approach to music education, with group theory and ear training classes available on weekends and private lessons offered throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. The school has served the area for 30 years and has been building children’s minds for over 20 years.
The founder and director, Natalya Karamyan, is a piano instructor who opened Silicon Valley Second School in 2008. Natalya has taught piano professionally since 1995 and moved to the U.S. in 2003. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano from Turkmen State Music College and her Master’s Degree in Piano and Chamber Music from Turkmen National Conservatory, and she is a certified member of MTAC, MTNA, CAPMT, and the American College of Musicians (NGPT).
Teachers at Silicon Valley Second School have advanced degrees in music, and instructors hold master’s degrees or higher with decades of combined teaching and performance experience. Yevgeniya “Jane” Gerus earned her Master’s degree in Music and Viola Performance from Odessa National Music Academy in Ukraine and volunteers as a viola player with local community orchestras such as the Palo Alto Philharmonic Orchestra. Antonio Rabadan has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering. Larisa Zaiko earned her Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Design from the Art Academy in Belarus. The school serves families from Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose, and Saratoga.
