The school has two branches in Sunnyvale and Concord, California, and was founded by Ekaterina Borisova. Its mission is to enlarge the Bulgarian community in Northern California by providing an environment where children and adults from multicultural backgrounds learn the Bulgarian language and become familiar with Bulgarian culture and traditions. The school’s stated purpose is to preserve and disseminate the Bulgarian language, culture, and traditions in Northern California and beyond, and its goal is to educate kids and adults by instilling and keeping alive love for the Bulgarian language, culture, and traditions. The school also states that it aims to provide highly qualified teachers, great infrastructure, and support to those who want to learn Bulgarian or connect with Bulgarian culture and traditions, and that by offering a variety of affordable classes it strives to create a community and foster friendships while learning and having fun.
