T.O. Westlake Karate Studio offers Beginner Kids Martial Arts, Beginner Adults, Adult Martial Arts, Jujitsu, Video Training, and Karate Birthday Parties. The studio is family-owned and uses experienced black belt instructors. Classes follow a family-centric approach with a focus on inclusivity, and karate teachings are infused with a fun and contemporary twist, in a setting described as safe, encouraging, fun, and disciplined for people of all ages, with classes designed to build self-confidence, discipline, self-control, and fitness.

T.O. Westlake Karate Studio was established in 1974. Grandmaster Dennis Ichikawa began his training with Chuck Norris in 1970, opened the Tarzana Karate Studio in 1974, and later opened the first T.O/Westlake Karate studio in 1987. Grandmaster Dennis Ichikawa, founder of the first T.O/Westlake Karate studio, earned his 9th Degree black belt in 2010. Grandmaster Justin Ichikawa, the T.O. Westlake head instructor, earned his 7th Degree black belt in 2015. The studio’s stated mission is to share the art of martial combat as a means of self-improvement, self-defense, and personal growth.
