Established in 1955, Cali Camp welcomes campers ages 4 to 15. The mission of Cali Camp states that it is dedicated to offering an engaging and connective experience in a natural setting and that it provides safe and joyful opportunities for both campers and staff to embody laughter, growth, and adventure. The staff holds hundreds of years of combined experience.
A sample daily schedule includes bus arrival at 9:00 am, morning Saihi and circle time at 9:15 am, arts and crafts at 9:45 am, a nature hike at 10:30 am, swimming at 11:15 am, lunch at noon, archery at 12:45 pm, playground time at 1:30 pm, go-karts at 2:15 pm, Saibi and snacks at 3:00 pm, and buses departing at 3:30 pm. Cali Camp offers hot lunch for purchase on a per-day basis via a CampMinder account through Rocco’s Kitchen at Cali Camp, which provides daily and special-of-the-day menu items. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free items are available every day. The Snack Shack sells ice cream, fresh baked cookies, and fresh popped popcorn, and Cali Camp swag such as stuffed animals, mini backpacks, towels, and keychains is sold. Money can be added to a camper’s Camp Store account to pay for snacks and camp merchandise, and unused funds from pre-paid lunches or the camp store are non-refundable.
Families are asked to send campers with their own lunch in an insulated lunch box, and campers keep their bags at their group shelves in the shade, with ice packs recommended. All campers must show a staff member how much of their lunch they have eaten before going to the Snack Shack. It is suggested to only send campers with a minimal amount of cash per day, and Cali Camp is not responsible for misplaced money.
