Founded in 2016, AYSO United is the National Club Program of the American Youth Soccer Organization, which serves over 400,000 players nationwide with the United program at the top of the player pyramid. AYSO United operates in 27 communities nationwide with over 9000 players competing in local travel leagues, regional leagues, and National Leagues. Each player in AYSO United is expected to play at least 50% of all games, and the club lists core values of Enjoyment, Education, Commitment, Ownership, Integrity, and Character.
The Santa Clarita hub of AYSO United is described as one of the most competitive clubs in the region and is quickly establishing itself as one of the premier youth soccer programs in Southern California, as well as a top destination for player development and competitive soccer in the Santa Clarita Valley. The club states that it is committed not only to developing good soccer players but also good people. AYSO United shares the same philosophies and vision as its parent program, with an emphasis on “providing a world class youth soccer program that enriches children’s lives.”
Eli Galbraith-Knapp, a former professional player and standout at the University of San Diego, serves as Director of Coaching, and the Santa Clarita hub coaches each have their own professional coaching experience. AYSO United coaches are trained to the US Soccer Standards. The broader leadership team includes roles such as National Director, National Director of Coaching, regional and community Directors, and a SoCal Santa Clarita Director listed as Eli Gilbraith-Knapp.
AYSO United’s nationally administered competitive program will conclude at the end of the current season, and AYSO United teams will complete the current season as planned with no changes to training, teams, or competition. Beginning with the 2026–27 season, interested players, coaches, and Directors of Coaching who currently participate in the United program may choose to convert their competitive soccer experience to Athletic Soccer Club (ASC) or another independent club environment.
