Fuentech Drum School offers private drum classes with one-on-one drum instruction. Students work on practice pad warm-ups, mirror work, technique analysis, evaluation of correct stick handling, and playing stroke patterns with accents. The program also includes live performance preparation using a 26 piece drum kit on an elevated stage with lighting and effects, along with two drum sets placed side by side so the instructor can demonstrate alongside the student, and practice pad areas for warm-ups.

Fuentech Drum School is focused on providing affordable private classes to students at every age and skill level, with experiences curated to every student's needs and an emphasis on technical skills, mirror work, and technique analysis. The program includes the ability to explore a variety of musical styles from jazz to heavy metal while focusing on a strong foundation, and it uses a 26 piece drum kit on an elevated stage with lighting and effects for simulating performing live. Instructor and owner John Fuentes opened Fuentech Drum School in 2003 and has been teaching hundreds of students for 13 years. Instructor John has a long professional history as a seasoned drummer, has played percussion in orchestra, jazz, and latin ensembles, and furthered his music education at Pasadena City College with a major in music. He performed throughout Asia to sold out stadiums with pop star Tiffany for her “Dreams Never Die” world tour, has studied with influential drummers including Terry Bozzio and Tito Puente, and has been a recording artist for MCA, Fonovisa, and Metalblade records. He most recently toured with Puerto Rican recording artist Noelia, and the band Maya and the Soul Takers featuring John Fuentes played a sold-out show at St Rocke in Hermosa Beach in December 2023.
