Nityashetra Dance School offers instruction in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form. The program also includes folk dances from villages of India such as Kuruti, Kollatam, Raas, and Garba, as well as Bollywood dance focused on modern Indian music and movement.
Guru Deepali Vora leads Nityashetra Dance School. A renowned teacher, dancer, choreographer, and nattuvanar, Deepali Vora has diligently pursued to bring out some of Southern California's finest exponents of Bharatanatyam. Nityashetra Dance School has 30 years of celebration. The school is dedicated to preserving and promoting the classical dance forms of both South and North India through instructional classes and professional performances. It teaches, presents, and performs Bharatanatyam, folk dance, and Bollywood in and around Southern California.
In 2021, Nityashetra Dance School participated in setting the Guinness World Record for “The most people performing a choreographed dance online simultaneously.” In 2025, it participated in fundraising for Voice of specially abled people (VOSAP) through elaborate performances, with proceeds directly utilized to provide assistive devices such as wheelchairs and hearing aids. Nityashetra Dance School performed at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills in 2024 as part of a grand Diwali celebration. It has performed for the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation (TOCA Festival) on numerous occasions, supporting the local business and arts community, and has also performed at the Norris Theatre on numerous occasions, drawing local support for the arts.
