The NCO Head Start Child Development Program offers comprehensive, family-centered services for young children in Lake and Mendocino Counties. The program uses a holistic approach that includes education, health, mental health, nutrition, disabilities services, and other family support. Families can enroll at any time of year, with applications available online, in person, or through mail services, and Enrollment Coordinators guide applicants through every step of the process.

The Head Start Child Development Program (HSCDP) offers comprehensive, family-centered services to support the well-being and development of young children in Lake and Mendocino Counties. NCO remains committed to strengthening communities and supporting families across Mendocino and Lake Counties, working with community partners including NCO Rural Communities Child Care, Fort Bragg Unified School District, Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund, and Mendocino County Social Services. The Administration for Children and Families of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provided financial support for this program’s website, with an award to NCO that covered 41% of total costs and totaled $14.6 million.
