Joanne Brown Dancers

Joanne Brown Dancers focuses on dance, teaching dance, and performing. Dancers take part in dance instruction and performance activities under the Joanne Brown Dancers name.

Joanne Brown Dancers officially opened its doors in January of 1993 and has been in Union City for 45 years. The studio describes itself as having a warm and friendly environment that has become a second home to many of its dancers.

Joanne Brown earned a teaching credential and a B.A. in Liberal Studies in 1975. She is the teacher and coordinator of the Union City Leisure Services Dance Program and the Fremont Recreation Dance Program.

The Joanne Brown Dancers participate in many local dance competitions, as well as national dance competitions in Anaheim, Las Vegas, and Florida. They have performed on several cruise ships and have performed with Dance The Magic in the Halloween Disney Parade and a holiday parade at Disneyland. Joanne Brown choreographed the number that helped Union City win the 1999 All-American City Award.
