The Hot Spot Studios – Kids Camps (East Bay / Union City) offers art-focused camp days that include pottery painting, canvas painting, candle making, mosaics, gnome and fairy gardens, and slime. Each camp also includes games and music as part of the daily activities. Studio projects are open to all ages and do not require any prior experience.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Price: Drop-ins and reservations are priced by the projects chosen; average project cost is $30–36 and includes everything, with zero studio fees. Average time spent on a project is 1 to 2 hours. Families can choose to become Lifetime Members for $100 and save 15% on all purchases.
Kids camps are offered in the summer months, and every camp day is structured around multiple art projects mixed with games, music, and other activities described by the studio as fun. Drop-ins are welcome if space allows, and waivers are signed at drop-off. All participants must be potty trained and symptom-free at drop-off, and parents are asked to pack a lunch or snacks and water.
The studio states as its mission that its “paint your own pottery” creative studios believe the joyful power of art ignites the sparks of imagination within everyone, of all ages and skill levels. The Hot Spot Studios also works with schools, churches, synagogues, colleges, scouts, and organizations such as boys and girls clubs, and it hosts events both in the studios and off site, including “Fun”draisers to help organizations raise money.
