Extended Day Escapes Camps

Extended Day Escapes Camps include gymnastics training on beam, bars, vault, and floor, as well as time on the Ninja Rig, tumble trak, rod floor, and trampolines. Camp days also feature agility games, fort making, rope climbing, daily crafts, movies, open play, and general gymnastics. Each week ends with an End of Week Show where campers present an end of week routine.

• Schedule: Award Winning Extended Day Escapes run weekly from mid-June to early August, with Summer Break Camp from 6/16–8/7 and Spring Break Camp also enrolling
• Price: $87.50 per day T–F from 10:00–2:00pm

Extended Day Escapes Camps take place in a program that offers a 15,000 square foot gymnastics facility and a 20 x 20 foot Ninja Rig. Gymnasts must bring a lunch and a water bottle, and payment is due at the time of enrollment, with no refunds once registered and transfers to other open sessions allowed based on availability if notified one week prior.

The program is part of Gymnastics Unlimited, which was originally founded in 1977 and has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley for over 41 years. Since 1984, the gym was owned and operated by Carol and Gabi Stabisevschi, and as of November 2005, they sold the business to Shelbyco, Inc. Coaches at this gym have had accomplishments such as coaching gold medalists Nadia Comaneci and Mary Lou Retton.

Gymnastics Unlimited describes its mission as providing a safe, fun and positive environment while promoting creativity, fitness and inspiring students to achieve their goals, and states that this will enrich the lives of students and the community through excellence in gymnastics. The program notes GU’s Award Winning Camps and Award Winning Extended Day Escapes, and identifies Gymnastics Unlimited as the oldest gym in the Santa Clarita Valley. The gym also states that it is now accepting Charter School vouchers for Peak, Gorman, Sky Mountain and Sage Oak.
