Break Camps for Kids includes a range of options such as Chess Wizards Summer Camp, Chon Reneé Dance Academy: Dance Arts Summer Camp, and FRESH Theatre Spring Camp. The program also offers Incrediflix Film Camp, Macsense Summer Soccer Camp, PlayWell Lego + STEM Camp, Solano Lions Cheer & Dance Camps at Cubs and Paws levels, Summer Aquatic Camps, and Teacher Kay's Alphapals Summer Camp. These camps are part of the recreation programs organized and managed by the Greater Vallejo Recreation District for residents of all ages each year.

The Greater Vallejo Recreation District was established on July 14, 1944. It is an independent special district and a separate government agency from the City of Vallejo, while many of the parks and facilities it manages are owned by the City of Vallejo and leased to the district through a Master Lease Agreement. GVRD offers programs that benefit over 120,000 Vallejo residents of all ages each year and organizes and manages sports programs for youth and adults, before and after-school programming, leisure classes, and special interest events. GVRD partners with the City of Vallejo and the National Academy of Athletics for the Mobile Recess Program. The district’s mission is to promote wellness and healthy lifestyles by providing safe parks and innovative and fun recreation programs for all residents.
