Pastimes for a Lifetime’s mission is “Creating and nurturing pastimes that will last a lifetime.” Founder and instructor Linda Wehrli has been committed to continuing lifelong learning and inspiring creative thinking through art and music since 1989. She has developed a no-nonsense curriculum for each course with unique, actionable information, and the studio environment, both online and live, allows her to listen to each student’s questions and concerns and answer them in real time.
Linda Wehrli received formal training from art professors at California State University, Northridge and a variety of private art studios, and she earned a degree in business administration and marketing from the business department at California State University, Northridge. She and her husband, Barry Wehrli, developed and published their own piano books to make learning piano more comprehensive and engaging for students and to provide a teaching tool for fellow piano teachers. The leadership team includes Linda Wehrli as Founder/Instructor, Barry Wehrli as co-author of piano books, and Jessica Lee Sanders as office manager.
Linda Wehrli provides free art and piano lessons to CoachArt kids who are undergoing treatment for life threatening illnesses. She is the former Arts & Education Committee Chair of the Greater Valley Glen Council, where her committee vetted and spent taxpayer dollars on arts and education programs for local schools, bringing live theater and other creative experiences to children who would otherwise never have had the exposure.
