Summer Camps & Intensives at Ballet Academy Ventura include the Little Ballerina Dance Camp, the Junior “Junior” Intensive, and the Junior Intensive. Depending on level, students take part in ballet technique, character dances from Russia, Italy and Eastern Europe, Musical Theater, dance history, and new choreography, with an in-studio demonstration for friends and family at the end of each session.
• Schedule: Little Ballerina Dance Camp runs Monday, July 6–Friday, July 10, 2026, 9:00am–12:00pm; Junior “Junior” Intensive and Junior Intensive each offer Week I (Monday, July 13–Saturday, July 18, 2026) and Week II (Monday, July 20–Saturday, July 25, 2026), with weekday hours 9:00am–3:00pm and Saturday hours 11:30am–2:00pm.
Ballet Academy Ventura uses the Vaganova teaching method and offers a complete dance program from Creative Movement and Pre-ballet through Pre-Professional. The school has served Ventura County for over 30 years as a center for dance education and is the official school of the Ventura County Ballet, whose productions include an annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and other spring concerts. Summer camps and intensives are taught by faculty and leadership that include Director and founder Kathleen Noblin; Curriculum Director Marina Fliagina; Conservatory Instructors Nilas Martins and Sergei Domrachev; Instructors Hanna Chudinova and Elizaveta (Leeza) Domracheva; and additional faculty such as Meredith Ventura and Alexandra (Sasha) Domracheva. The mission of Ballet Academy Ventura states that instructors are readily available to parents and students for information about class progress, that students are encouraged to visit with teachers before class, and that the program focuses on educating the whole child with an approach to discipline that emphasizes gentle and constructive correction to support students’ own self-discipline. New enrollment is open year round for young dancers through pre-professional levels, and the school offers a free trial class to ensure correct placement.
