Billy Clower Dance Studio

Billy Clower Dance Studio offers Acrobatic Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Tap & Ballet Combo, Billy Clower Cheer Teams, and Billy Clower Dance Company. The program includes balance skills and basic tumbling, technique and posture work, expressive movement, street dance styles, kicks, turns, leaps, and tap classes for students with different experience levels.

Programs

• Acrobatic Dance — 3-5, 6+ · Combines dance with balance skills and basic tumbling; includes balancing, limbering, tumbling, partnering, and skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, and handsprings.
• Ballet — 7-9, 10+, teacher recommendation required for Ballet 3 and Ballet 4 · Foundation of all dance forms; focuses on technique, posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
• Contemporary — 7+; ballet enrollment required · Expressive dance style combining modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet; includes floorwork, improvisation, and basic partnering.
• Hip Hop — 5-7, 8-10, 10+, teacher recommendation required for Level 4 · High-energy class with street dance styles and improvisation; emphasizes creativity, rhythm, musicality, body balance, and coordination.
• Jazz — 7-11, 12+, teacher recommendation required for Jazz 3 · Technique-based style with a strong ballet background; includes kicks, turns, leaps, warm-up, conditioning, stretching, center technique, traveling combinations, and choreography.
• Tap — 7+, adults 15+ · Tap 1 is for students with 0-3 years experience; Tap 2 is for students with 4-6 years experience; Tap for Adults is for students with 3-10 years of experience.
• Tap & Ballet Combo — 2.5-4, 5-6 · Combo classes for young students.
• Billy Clower Cheer Teams — 5-7, 8-10, 11-13; students ranging from 6-13 years of age · Competition cheer teams learn a choreographed routine including dance, stunts, tumbling, motions, jumps, formations, spirit, and more; no experience necessary.
• Billy Clower Dance Company — 7-15; students ranging from 7-18 years of age · Competition dance teams perform Hip Hop and Contemporary style routines at about 4 competitions per season.

Billy Clower Dance Studio has been operating since 1953 and has over 70 years of history. It is described as dedicated to providing students with professional training in a fun, family atmosphere, and it was voted #1 Dance Studio in Ventura County since 2017. Students have performance opportunities at annual recitals, local festivals, and competitive dance or cheer teams.
