Red Brick Art Workshops and Paint Parties

Red Brick Art Workshops and Paint Parties offers watercolor workshops with Phyllis Gubins, acrylic and mixed media workshops with Jen Livia, acrylic workshops with Marco Aguilar, paint parties at Deep Sea Tasting Room, glass mosaic workshops, and private paint parties. Some watercolor classes meet on Saturday and Sunday, and some are on Wednesday from 12 to 3 PM. Some acrylic and mixed media classes meet on Sunday and Wednesday from 1 to 4 PM or 12 to 3 PM.

About the provider

Red Brick Art has been operating since 2006. The site names Phyllis Gubins and Jen Livia on its leadership team; Jen Livia is an artist and teacher, and Phyllis Gubins teaches watercolor classes. The mission statement says Red Brick Art has focused on creating an open art community in Ventura where anyone can enjoy art and try creating something of their own. Jen Livia received art degrees from UC San Diego, the San Francisco Art Institute, and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and she is a Golden Working Artist Alumni and Silver Brush Educator. She teaches over 3,000 people a year in Ventura's elementary schools and at Red Brick.

All workshops are limited in size; students 13-100 are welcomed; no drawing skills needed is stated for some watercolor workshops; class reservations must be paid in advance and cannot be canceled or changed less than 72 hours prior to class.
