Red Brick Art

Red Brick Art offers a range of art activities, including Watercolor Weekday Series, Glass Mosaic Workshops, Paint Parties, and Painting Parties. The program also offers Watercolors with Phyllis Gubins, Acrylic Classes and Acrylic & Mixed Media Workshops with Jen Livia, and Acrylic Workshops and paint-along sessions with Marco Aguilar where everyone paints the given painting and adds their own touches. Workshops are available in many mediums for adults and children, including Pastels, Mosaics, Watercolors, Acrylics, Drawing, PhotoShop, and Photography, and any workshop is listed as good for students ages 13–100.

Red Brick Art offers weekday classes, Watercolor Workshops & Series with Phyllis Gubins, and a variety of mediums with artist and teacher Jen Livia, with all levels of students welcome in these classes. Classes are described as great for any level of artist from total beginner to experienced artist, and all classes are limited in size, with lots of personal attention and personal coaching in watercolor classes. Glass Mosaic Workshops offer a half-day class for a smaller piece or an all-day class for a larger, more detailed piece, and all supplies are included.

Paint Parties at Deep Sea Tasting Room include all supplies and instruction, with wine and food available for purchase, and Paint and Pint Classes at Poseidon Brewery include 1 pint of craft beer, all supplies, and instruction, and are limited in size. Red Brick Art also offers Private Paint Parties, Paint Parties at Deep Sea Tasting Room, and Paint and Pint at Poseidon Brewery, and states that Paint Parties are casual larger classes where participants learn and play. Red Brick notes that Paint Parties make date nights, ladies’ night out, corporate bonding events, birthday parties, and singles events, and that families can join a group class or host a private class.

Since 2006, Red Brick Art has stated that it has been focused on creating an open art community in Ventura where anyone can enjoy art and try creating something of their own. The leadership team is listed as Phyllis Gubins, Jen Livia, and Marco Aguilar. Community involvement includes Paint Parties with Jen and Phyllis of Red Brick Art at Deep Sea Tasting Room and Paint and Pint classes with Jen and Phyllis and the crew of Poseidon Brewing Company.
