Vista Pop Warner Little Scholars Football & Cheer has served the Vista community for 3 decades as its youth Football and Cheer organization. The mission of Vista Pop Warner is to provide a FUN environment for participants that fosters excellence in academics while teaching the value of hard work in a team environment. With Football and Cheer as the tools, the mission states that participants become better young men and women, parents have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, and staff accepts the challenge to improve the league each year.
Vista Pop Warner is a Tackling League that employs the USA Heads Up Tackling methods learned through USA Football Tackle Coaches Certification. The program implements the Seattle Seahawks Tackling Instructional Video by Head Coach Pete Carroll. Vista Pop Warner is committed to player safety and emphasizes self-discipline, teamwork, a strong sense of attachment to the community, safety equipment, coaches safety education, fees associated with football events, and field operations. Vista Pop Warner supports youth academic achievement with strict academic guidelines for participants.
Vista Pop Warner offers many volunteer opportunities including Coaching, Business managers, Team parents, Youth League Board Members, Event Volunteers, and Snack-bar Volunteers. For registration, Vista Pop Warner will need a current report card and birth certificate.
