About

Camp Wonder is a summer camp where campers play sports, go swimming, climb a rock wall, do arts and crafts, and attend a camp “prom.” Camp Wonder is for children and teens diagnosed with skin disease and is structured as a week-long camp session.

• Ages: 6–16 years old
• Schedule: Sessions run for a week
• Price: Camp Wonder is free to campers and their families. CSDF covers all costs, including round-trip transportation.

Camp Wonder is a program of CSDF, which was founded in 2000 with the mission of creating free programs to improve the lives of children and families impacted by skin disease. Camp Wonder, the summer camp, was founded in 2001 and has been operating for 25 years. For 20 years, Camp Wonder has partnered with various dermatology hospitals. Camp Wonder partners with these hospitals to welcome dermatology and pediatric residents, and medical and nursing students as volunteers, and CSDF covers all costs for medical staff, creating dermatology scholarships for future caregivers. Camp Wonder gives children with chronic and life-threatening skin diseases an opportunity to attend summer camp when they may not have been able to otherwise given their medical needs.
