Creative Art & Clay

Creative Art & Clay offers clay and art workshops, summer camps, birthday parties, private events, and homeschool classes. The program also runs morning, afternoon, and weekend classes for both kids and adults, with all classes and events requiring sign-up in advance and no drop-ins allowed.

Creative Art & Clay was founded by Maria Rachidi and moved into its current space in 2022. The program states that it offers a safe and happy place to inspire curiosity and creativity and describes its studio as an artsy playground for both children and adults. Maria Rachidi’s teaching experience includes creating and teaching an after-school curriculum for East Bay Area public schools, working with Jewish Contra Costa to create an art curriculum and teach at their summer camp, working with Jewish Family and Community Services to help facilitate art therapy for Afghan refugees, working with Visions in Education to create homeschool classes for homeschool families in the East Bay, volunteering at events, and designing ongoing classes and events at Creative Art & Clay. The program states that what started out as a dream has turned into a creative space for children, adults, and families to connect and have fun.
