Parents' Place Youth Workshops and Social Groups offers activities such as summer games, tacos, music, and game night. The program also includes online drawing classes with step-by-step drawing instruction, and these classes are available on demand as recorded sessions until a return to in-person classes. Parents’ Place does not receive funding from student enrollment for the online drawing classes.

Parents' Place Youth Workshops and Social Groups serves families who have children with special needs from birth through 26 years of age, and also offers a Community Navigator Program from zero through life expectancy. The program’s stated mission is “Providing hope and support for families with children with special needs through education and community resources.” The staff includes bilingual team members fluent in Spanish, Chinese/Mandarin, and Vietnamese. Available supports include a warmline, educational workshops, parent information packets, referrals to local and national resources, access to information on the internet, an annual information fair and festival, and one-on-one meetings with a family resource specialist. The program serves the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys, including Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, City of Industry, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Duarte, El Monte, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, Irwindale, La Puente, La Verne, Monrovia, Phillips Ranch, Pomona, Rosemead, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, South El Monte, Temple City, Valinda, Walnut, West Covina, part of Pasadena, and part of Whittier. Programs and services are funded in part by the California Department of Developmental Services, the California Department of Education, and private donors in the community, and the CAPTAIN Conference is held in collaboration with regional centers, SELPA, higher education, Parents' Place, and East Los Angeles FRC.
