Camp Wildfolk

Camp Wildfolk is an “old school” day camp in Los Angeles that uses a child-centered, project-based approach. The camp focuses on project-based experiences with a whole-child approach and growth mindset development, guided by its camp intentions known as “The 7Cs.” Camp Wildfolk also uses the phrase “Play Wild play wild. grow wild. love wild.” in its program materials.

• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Core camp day from 9:00am–3:00pm, with extended hours available from 8:00am–5:30pm

Camp Wildfolk’s mission is to guide and uplift a community of authentic, empowered 21st Century leaders by inspiring their imagination, cultivating resilience through the development of a growth mindset, and nurturing their “wild” spirit and hearts. The camp highlights its project-based format as the main reason campers enjoy the program. Camp materials reference the “7Cs” intentions: community-minded, connected, creative, curious, compassionate, collaborative, and a “can-do’er.” Camp Wildfolk has been operating under the Camp Wildfolk name from 2015 through 2026. The program notes that families are asked not to drop by unannounced during non-camp time, as staff are not physically at the campuses then.
