About

The Extended School Program (ESP) and After-School Programs are part of Westminster School District’s expanded learning options that extend the school day. These programs function as an extension of learning and are connected to district offerings that include technology, Dual Language Immersion, STEM, the arts, and other enriching after-school experiences. They operate at Westminster School District sites as part of the district’s broader focus on specialized programs such as Vietnamese and Spanish Dual Language Immersion, computer science, GATE, AVID, STEM/STEAM, and College & Career Readiness.

• Ages: 4–13 years old

The Extended School Program (ESP) is led by Stephanie Ceminsky, Ed.D., Director of Early Education & Expanded Learning Extended School Program (ESP), with support from Staff Secretary VeNae Valentin for the Extended School Program (ESP). The program follows the district mission: “It is our collective responsibility to educate and empower all students to persevere towards excellence through a distinctive, rigorous, and engaging academic experience.” Within the same district, families have access to open enrollment with a unique specialty program at each school, a Dual Language Immersion school recognized statewide for excellence, and California’s Best Middle Schools, which are described as award winning and high achieving. The district connected to these programs has received California Pivotal Practice awards for 13 schools and the district office, CSBA Golden Bell and Title I Schools awards, California Distinguished School awards, recognition on the 2025 Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll, and has been identified as the safest elementary school district in Orange County.
