Studio Danza Folklorica De Colores offers Ballet Folklorico instruction, general dance instruction, coaching, and performance opportunities. The program includes Folklorico classes, Ballet classes, Musical Theatre classes, and Zumba classes for children and adults.

Studio Danza Folklorica De Colores has been in existence for over 15 years and has also been described as being in existence for over 18 years. The mission of Studio Danza Folklorica De Colores is to provide at-risk children and youth with high-quality Ballet Folklorico and other dance instruction, coaching and performance opportunities, in order to enrich their physical and emotional health, self-esteem and cultural pride. The program offers children and adult classes in Folklorico, Musical Theatre, Ballet, and Zumba, and promotes dance benefits that are recreational, artistic, educational, and therapeutic.
Professor Edith Montes de Oca is a teacher, choreographer and dancer who graduated in Artistic Education and Dance from the School of Bellas Artes in Mexico City. The leadership team includes Executive Director Luisa Macias. The studio is a proud member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).
Committed mentors and choreographer-instructors engage children and teens in dance education and performances throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, which helps prevent poor choices by youth in at-risk communities. Testimonials describe Zumba with Petra as high energy and fun, with class members who are welcoming to newcomers. One parent notes that their mother attends Zumba at the studio several times a week and describes the staff as warm and welcoming.
