Backalley Baseball states that it is a premier baseball facility created to maximize the potential of the individual and that each athlete will have the opportunity to reach their potential with the latest technology and training methods. For hitters, exit velocity, launch angle, and bat speed are measured, and for pitchers, spinning rate, vertical movement, horizontal movement, and velocity are measured. The program states that it is committed to excellence, that its primary objective is to impart life skills essential for success both on and off the field, and that every athlete attending Backalley Baseball will gain tools that can be applied to everyday life on and off the field. The program states that it wants athletes who will “Trust the Training.”

The mission statement says that mastering small skills is a requirement to becoming a successful athlete and that Backalley Baseball is based on three principles: a coach is responsible for teaching players the correct way to play the game, a coach is responsible for helping each player develop the emotional maturity to manage the mental side of the game, and coaches must model integrity, honesty, and respect for their players.
