The Academy for Mathematics & English provides top-quality tutoring and enrichment programs to students from preschool to Grade 12 and beyond, with all tutoring programs individually designed to meet each student’s specific needs. The program offers a FREE Skill Level Evaluation to assess each student’s strengths and weaknesses, and then uses custom-tailored programs to target skill gaps and build on existing strengths. Its approach is highly individualized and systematic, with a unique audio/visual tutoring curriculum that has been honed and perfected for over 35 years and, on average, allows students to improve 1 to 2.5 grade levels in less than 6 months. Lil’ Math Whiz uses a “Small Steps Design” to put advanced concepts within reach of young students, and Super Readers can take a non-reader as young as 4 years old to a beginning Grade 3 reading level using a methodology that was proven to be the most effective way to teach young kids how to read, based on the largest reading intervention study ever conducted in the public education system.
The Academy specializes in assisting students of all levels of ability from Kindergarten to university and college entrance level in mathematics, from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in language arts (English), and from Grade 11 to university and college entrance level in science (chemistry and physics). It is known as the “Math Tutoring Specialist” because of results and offers services including math, English, chemistry and physics, Lil’ Math Whiz, Super Readers, Li’l Learners, exam preparation, gifted learner support, summer programs, and a virtual academy. The organization has 35 years of international experience in assisting students, has helped Canadian students for over 33 years, and has been a fixture in the Canadian tutoring market since 1993, with 25 locations in the Toronto area and 40 locations across Canada. The mission of the Academy for Mathematics & English is to break through learning barriers and maximize the potential of each student so they have the confidence and skills to realize their greatest dreams. The Central Windsor Tutoring Centre is led by Director Jasleen Chawla.
Past students have shared that “The Academy did not only develop me academically, but also engrained the idea to consistently strive for excellence. My time here will always give me the strength and courage I need to pursue higher level academics. This program truly works and it’s unbelievable,” and “I was accepted into Harvard University mainly because of the Academy and its tutors. They gave me this opportunity with their personable tutoring approach and wide-based knowledge in mathematics and sciences. With the Academy’s help, I was able to maintain a 90% average.” The Academy also offers a franchise program with an Academy Franchise brochure available for download.
