About
City of Windsor Day Camps offers activities that include field trips, swimming, water days, water games, and use of a facility splash pad where applicable. Junior-aged camps participate in a weekly water day, and youth-aged camps go swimming once a week at one of the City of Windsor indoor pools. Participants are expected to bring items such as a water bottle, sunscreen or bug spray, a hat and sunglasses, proper running or athletic shoes, a swimsuit and towel, a backpack or bag, a change of clothes, and lunch and food for morning and afternoon snack time, and they must come with a towel and swimsuit every day.

• Schedule: Camp business hours Monday through Friday, with drop-off between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and pickup between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; junior camps have weekly half-day field trips, and youth camps have weekly full-day field trips
• Price: Lunch is provided on Fridays, including P.A. Day Camps, with two slices of cheese pizza per child included in the day camp fees
Junior camp is for participants aged 4 to 6 years old, and youth camp is for participants aged 6 to 13 years old, with youth-aged camps often grouped into smaller cohorts. There are two designated snack times each day at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and lunch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. each day.
Each of the camps is under the direction of day camp coordinators, and each day camp counsellor is certified in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development. Additional counsellor training includes recreation programming, Epi-Pen training, safety and emergency procedures, group dynamics, and positive behaviour management. Day camp counsellors are certified in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development. The City of Windsor’s Department of Recreation & Culture routinely offers daily camp for professional activity (P.A.) days, week-long holidays, March Break, and summer.
All participants must be fully toilet-trained, with no pull-ups, and must be day-camp-ready and able to meet specified behavioural and independence expectations. ePACT is used as a secure online system to collect participant information packages for all participants. Parents and guardians are asked to use a kiss-and-ride system at every camp location.
