About

Apex Park and Recreation District Camps offer activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games, special interests, free-choice activities, swimming, silent disco, rock climbing, ice skating, splash pad time, local mini field trips, karaoke, water field day, and field trips. Camp days can also include nature-based learning, hands-on adventures, curiosity-driven activities, and projects in sports, art, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Camp Apex runs June 1–August 14; Camp Fitzmorris runs June 1–August 18; Camp Secrest runs June 1–August 14; Teen Adventure Camp runs June 8–July 30. Teen Adventure Camp has an 8 am drop-off and 5 pm pick-up.
• Price: 2026 Summer Camp non-refundable registration fee is Resident $80 and non-resident $100, with a 5% discount for families who pay in full at registration. Daily camp fees are: Camp Apex Resident $65 and non-resident $85; Camp Fitzmorris Resident $63 and non-resident $81; Camp Secrest Resident $60 and non-resident $78; Teen Adventure Camp Resident $98 and non-resident $127. Additional fees include Camp Apex non-refundable registration fee Resident $80 and non-resident $100, Camp Apex field trip Resident $36 and non-resident $47 per day, Camp Apex Adventure Pass Resident $10 and non-resident $12 per day, Camp Fitzmorris non-refundable registration fee Resident $80 and non-resident $100, Camp Fitzmorris field trip Resident $36 and non-resident $47 per day, Camp Secrest non-refundable registration fee Resident $80 and non-resident $100, and Camp Secrest field trip Resident $97 and non-resident $125 per day.

Apex Park and Recreation District camps include three full-day state-licensed camp sites, a Teen Adventure program, and a Leadership in Training program. Camps are offered during Jeffco Public Schools’ spring, summer, fall, and winter breaks and use low staff-to-camper ratios. Families can use a Fast Track option to pre-add camp dates and participants before registration, a waitlist with text and email notifications and visible place in line, and a payment plan option for summer 2026, including a weekly payment plan. Families who pay in full at the time of registration receive a 5% discount.

Camp Apex campers have access to amenities such as swimming, silent disco, rock climbing, ice skating, and a splash pad, and an Adventure Pass add-on is available for special activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the camper is enrolled for that day. Camp Fitzmorris combines nature-based learning, hands-on adventures, and curiosity-driven activities and uses a large outdoor playground designed for creativity and exploration. Camp Secrest includes a field trip fee in the daily registration and offers local mini field trips, swimming, and special interest activities on specific days.

Camp Apex swimming is scheduled on Mondays and Fridays, with silent disco on Tuesdays, and rock climbing and ice skating on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Camp Fitzmorris offers silent disco and karaoke on Mondays, swimming on Tuesdays and Fridays, a water field day on Wednesdays, and an optional field trip on Thursdays. Camp Secrest offers local mini field trips on Mondays, swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays, special interests on Wednesdays, and a field trip on Fridays. To secure eligibility for camp, families must first purchase the non-refundable Summer Camp Registration Fee before selecting any camp dates, and parents who wish to cancel must email the recreation coordinator with the child’s full name, age, and the dates and names of the camp session they want to cancel.

Apex Park and Recreation District employs qualified and experienced staff and is managed by an executive director and a five-member elected board of directors, with directors serving four-year terms and elections held every two years in May. The district was founded on November 13, 1956, and states its mission as enhancing the health of the community socially, emotionally, and physically by being a gathering place and trusted resource for activities and programs that connect people and improve their quality of life. Apex Park and Recreation District works collaboratively with other entities, welcomes visitors from across the metro area and beyond, and operates more than a dozen facilities with a robust staff, a dynamic and energetic corps of volunteers, and hundreds of youth sports teams.
