About
Boys & Girls Club of Fremont County Summer Programs include Summer Day Camp and Teen Club Summer, where members take part in sports, art, STEM projects, learning activities, field trips, and pool days. Summer Day Camp is licensed and fully supervised, and Teen Club Summer is fully supervised. Members are assigned to groups by age, and Summer Day Camp operates at a ratio of 15 youth per 1 staff, with snack breakfast, lunch, and a regular snack included each day, while Teen Club Summer offers two snacks per day.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Summer Day Camp runs in 2-week sessions Monday–Friday, with day camp open Monday–Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm; Teen Club Summer operates June 1st to August 7th on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Price: 2026 Summer Membership Fee of $25 per youth, plus 2-week Summer Day Camp sessions ranging from $247.50 to $275 per session, $27.50 per full-day drop-in (scheduled at least 24 hours in advance), and a 2025 Teen Club Summer Membership Fee of $25 per youth as the only fee for summer care at that Club, with all monies paid non-refundable
Field trips are scheduled as it is safe to do so, and additional fees may apply. If capacity is reached for Summer Day Camp, a wait list is available, and drop-in days are scheduled at the Club’s discretion based on expected attendance and required staff-to-youth ratios. The Boys & Girls Club of Fremont County is a licensed childcare facility and a non-profit organization, and youth participate in evidence-based programs focused on Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. The organization’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The Boys & Girls Club of Fremont County provides a snack each day at each Club and two meals at the Cañon K–7th Club on no-school Fridays, and CCCAP is accepted with all families encouraged to apply for financial assistance through DHS.
The organization opened its doors in June 2011 and has expanded through multiple club openings and adaptations, including the Florence Club in fall 2015, the first K–5 Club in September 2017, and the adaptation of the Cañon Club to serve K–12th graders in September 2018. A new Club at Fremont Elementary School in Florence opened in January 2020 and closed in March 2020, followed by a temporary site at Canon Exploratory in March 2020. The 4th Street Teen Club was rebranded and opened in August 2020, and in 2023 Boys & Girls Club obtained ownership of the 4th Street Teen Club/Office Location. Historically, the program continued through the summer as a day camp open to all Fremont County kids going into 1st–6th grade, and the organization was one of four Clubs in Colorado to remain open during the pandemic.
