The staff includes experienced lead climbing instructors, an experienced lead mountain bike instructor, trained instructors for the backpacking trip, and experienced high ropes guides at Denver Adventures, all part of a seasoned team of adventurers and educators. Avid4 Instructors are identified as the number one point of positive feedback from parents of campers, and Top Tier Staff are highlighted as primary positive feedback from parents.
Avid4 Adventure states a mission that centers on the transformative power of the outdoors, where kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking, and the organization was created to give kids a love of outdoor activity and support future caretaking of the planet. The organization is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and partners with Denver Adventures.
The program is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises authentic outdoor adventure, well-trained and professional staff, increased confidence, and a customer experience that exceeds parents’ expectations, with the statement that if these promises are not met, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free. Avid4 Adventure offers overnight camps, day camps, expedition camps, and Basecamp options, and its programs evolve as campers grow from age 3 through 17. The camp provides access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids, organizes big adventures in recreation areas, and provides transportation and gear, while campers learn how to set up climbing equipment, learn about archery equipment, and practice biking maintenance.
Parent testimonials describe children learning new outdoor skills such as stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and biking, including learning to ride a bike without training wheels during camp, and note that staff are mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion with children. Parents also report that their kids were active every day, talk about camp well after it ends, and are eager to return, and the camp is described in program materials as “5 star rated” with the question “what makes our camp 5 star rated?”
