Morning 1/2 Day Camp has a 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio and includes limited on-course play. The 4-Week Camp has a 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio and does not always include on-course play. Afternoon 1/2 Day Camp has a 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio, is for juniors with high golf acumen, strong self-awareness, and ability to follow minimal direction, and includes playing 9 holes on the course both days. Operation 36 Junior Academy is described as a rapidly growing development program backed by years of research, and juniors are encouraged to attend at least two semesters a year. The PGA Junior League at Fossil Trace is a structured semi-competitive in-house league where players wear numbered jerseys, compete on teams with friends, and play in a scramble format that encourages partnerships and confidence.
Fossil Trace Golf School Junior Programs uses the mission phrases “Play the Fun Way!” and “Starting at 4 years old, Fossil Trace Golf School has a path for every golfer.” The Operation 36 Junior Academy is described as carefully balancing skill development with real on-course stroke play, and the PGA Junior League is described as an opportunity to play 9-hole games in a team atmosphere that is fun and inclusive. Fossil Trace Golf School is careful to ensure all program schedules do not conflict.
The leadership team includes Adam Finch, PGA, who became a Class A PGA Professional in 2007 and was named Head Golf Professional in December 2023, and Noy Sparks, III, GCSAA, the Golf Course Superintendent, who has a degree in golf course operations and over 25 years of golf course maintenance experience. Fossil Trace Golf Club opened in July 2003, Adam’s career at Fossil Trace began in June 2006, and Noy has been with the City of Golden since August 2002. Fossil Trace Golf Club is considered one of Denver’s top golf courses and premier destinations to play and has been honored as “Best Golf Course in Denver” on multiple occasions by Colorado golf and lifestyle publications. Fossil Trace Golf Club has entertained golfers from all 50 states and from over 40 countries.
