About

Summer Camp at Golden History Museum & Park is a day camp where campers explore history, science, art, and more through a variety of hands-on activities and games. Activities take place at both the Golden History Museum and Golden History Park and use historic structures for many of the camp experiences. Campers are supervised at all times by museum staff, with an average ratio of one teacher for every 12 campers.

• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Camp runs Monday through Friday from June 1 – July 31, 2026, with a break week June 29 – July 3; it is offered for eight weeks in a flexible half-day format, and most families create full-day schedules by selecting both a morning and afternoon theme.
• Price: Member: half-day $195/week, full-day $390/week; Non-member: half-day $220/week, full-day $440/week; member prices require a current Household membership ($95) or higher; Early Drop-off (8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.) $35/week or $10/day; Extended Pick-up (4:15 p.m. – 5 p.m.) $35/week or $10/day; both early and late care $55/week.

Summer Camp at Golden History Museum & Park is described as wildly popular for families in Golden, Arvada, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, and the metro-Denver area, and many options fill during the members-only registration period. Golden History Museum & Park also accepts a limited number of Volunteer Junior Summer Camp Aides each summer; these volunteers must be at least 13 years old, commit to a minimum of two weeks, and can choose half-day or full-day schedules, with full-day History Camp Aide hours from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Camp Aides assist and lead a variety of activities under the direction of camp staff. Admission to Golden History Museum and Golden History Park is always free, and the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
