The Arts Hub includes programs such as Arts Hub Thespians, an exclusive theatre program for dedicated young artists ages 11–16, and the Arts Hub Treble Singers, a vocal ensemble that explores a diverse repertoire from contemporary hits to timeless classics. The organization began in 2007 under the name “Arts Underground,” offering theatre, art, and dance classes, and was reorganized into the Arts Hub in 2016 after a multi-million dollar fundraising campaign. The Arts Hub operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to create a community where the transformative power of the arts ignites growth and empowers individuals to be brave in expressing their unique creativity.
The Arts Hub offers a Community Coworking program that combines part-time coworking and childcare for parents of infants and toddlers in a play-based childcare environment built on an arts education mission. The organization states a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to preventing discrimination on the basis of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, education, body type, or socio-economic status. It acknowledges that its facility stands on the ancestral land of the Arapahoe, the Ute, the Cheyenne, and other Indigenous Nations. The Arts Hub relies on donations and sponsorships to support its programs, including sponsoring a child and buying theatrical costumes, art supplies, and musical instruments, and it serves children and adults across Eastern Boulder County, with a stated purpose of filling a gap in arts programming outside the major hubs of Boulder and Denver.
