Dawson Summer Camps is fully licensed and has a low staff-to-camper ratio, with all camp Leads CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. A Health and Wellness Specialist is on campus during camp hours, the camp works closely with a school nurse consultant who trains staff and delegates healthcare responsibilities, and an RN is available for on-call consultation throughout the summer. Parents must provide all health information during registration, and because camp staff administer medications under RN delegation, a physician’s and parent’s signatures are required for all medications. Those using the pool are asked to wear a swimsuit to camp and bring a towel, sunscreen, pool shoes, and a change of clothes, and parents must notify Dawson Summer Camps on the registration application if a child does not swim and needs a flotation device in the pool.

Lunch is provided daily at no additional charge, with options that include a hot lunch, deli bar, salad bar, fresh fruit, and vegetarian choices, and dietary restrictions can be supported. Camp spaces are limited, all camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis with full payment required at the time of application, and if a camp fills up, families are encouraged to join the waitlist. Before and after camp care is available with limited space, and a camp t-shirt is included with camp tuition for one camp. The Counselor in Training (CIT) Leadership Program is available for ages 14–15.
