Bringing Music to Life collects, cleans, repairs, and awards gently used musical instruments to Title I and under-resourced school music programs across Colorado. Instruments are dropped off at designated collection sites and transported to a central hub for processing, where professional technicians inspect and repair each one so it is in excellent playable condition.

About the provider
Bringing Music to Life was launched in 2009. Its mission is providing every Colorado child access to the life-changing experience of making music. In its 2026 spring instrument drive, it awarded 800+ instruments to 93 schools across the state. Since 2009, it has awarded more than 10,000 instruments to over 400 school music programs, impacting 30,000+ students across Colorado.
Donations are accepted during the donation drive in March. The organization says each instrument can impact students for 8 to 10 years because instruments are given to schools rather than individuals.
