BBYO Greater Jersey Region Teen Programs includes events such as ice skating, camping overnights, communal Shabbat celebrations, leadership trainings, chapter meetings, and dances. Events in Greater Jersey Region range from fun activities like ice skating and camping overnights to communal Shabbat celebrations and leadership trainings. Greater Jersey Region chapters also host dances throughout the year for the entire region.

• Schedule: Chapters in Greater Jersey Region meet every other week for regular chapter meetings and programs.

BBYO Greater Jersey Region Teen Programs is part of BBYO, which has 725 chapters in 60 countries around the world and reaches nearly 70,000 teens annually. Greater Jersey Region serves New Jersey from Bergen County to the Jersey Shore and has over 1,400 teens. Greater Jersey Region welcomes any and all Jewish teens looking to partake in meaningful Jewish experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service with their friends. Through youth-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Greater Jersey Region gives members opportunities to develop leadership skills and positively affect their communities, the world, and themselves. Events are planned by teens, for teens, and a parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health. BBYO offers safe and welcoming opportunities for learning and growth to all Jewish teens and strives to welcome all Jewish teens, regardless of background, denominational affiliation, gender, sexual orientation or abilities. Greater Jersey Region is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey. Greater Jersey Region can be found on Facebook and Instagram for updates.

BBYO is the leading pluralistic teen movement aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. BBYO serves as the Jewish community’s largest platform for delivering fun, inspiring, and empowering experiences that build leadership, friendship, and Jewish connection. BBYO has provided identity enrichment and leadership development experiences for over 95 years and has a 99+ year history as a pluralistic Jewish teen movement. The leadership team for Greater Jersey Region includes Senior Regional Director Amy Gerson, Regional Director Max Nachman, Genesis Fellow Jordynn Cheatle, and Chapter Specialist Lily McGarr. One BBYO member shared, “To some, BBYO is a youth group. To me, BBYO has been my high school experience.”
