BBYO Greater Jersey Region offers chapter meetings every other week that include fun, educational, and interactive programs. Teens take part in activities such as Israel updates, dances, ice skating, camping overnights, communal Shabbat celebrations, and leadership trainings.

BBYO Greater Jersey Region is part of a movement that has been dedicated to empowering Jewish teens for over a century. Greater Jersey Region includes over 1,300 teens and 28 chapters that serve New Jersey from Bergen County to the Jersey Shore. Events in the region are planned by teens, for teens, with a parent, advisor, or regional staff member always on hand. The region’s leadership team includes Max Nachman (Regional Director), Jenna Buettel (Community Director, GJR, NRE: DC, Nova, and Baltimore), Jordynn Cheatle (Genesis Fellow), Amy L Gerson (Senior Regional Director), and Devin S. (Regional Board). BBYO’s stated mission is to inspire Jewish teens to find their people, shape their purpose, and lead their communities, supported by families, alumni, and partners who believe in the power of Jewish youth. Greater Jersey Region welcomes any and all Jewish teens looking to partake in meaningful Jewish experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service with their friends. BBYO is described as the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. Fun fact: Greater Jersey Region claims to have the best bagels in all of BBYO.
