In February 2014, founder David Worrell started WeAquatics, and the program reports 13+ years of experience. David became a certified Infant Swimming Resource instructor and has taught ISR lessons full-time since May 2010. The program states that it is rated as one of the safest, most knowledgeable swim programs serving Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and describes itself as a renowned leader in infant swimming training with an exemplary student success rate and one of the top experts in Infant Swimming Resource. Reported outcomes include 788 survivals un-witnessed, 1700+ survivals witnessed, and 0 ISR students who have drowned. WeAquatics reports 11 regulation-sized pool locations, 23 instructors, a 4/5 customer rating, and a 4.9/5 star rating, and notes that it has program options for all ages, updated pool locations throughout the DMV, special events and seasonal offerings, and private and semi-private lessons.

The program states that it focuses on improving technique and moving at a pace set by the student, that it does not steer all swimmers in one direction, and that its goal is to provide an opportunity to enjoy the water. It also states that enthusiastic instructors make swimming fun, that it is known for having the best swim coaches, and that it ensures swimming confidence with a balance of supportive teaching and challenging lessons. The mission statement says that WeAquatics believes in making swimming fun, believes swimming offers something for everyone, and describes swimming as an activity that can be an energetic sport like running or basketball or a therapeutic way to wind down after a long day.

Parent testimonials mention ISR and Learn-to-Swim lessons for infants, toddlers, and older children, one-on-one lessons, and progression to the WeAquatics swim team. Families describe instructors including David, Brad, Darell (Coach D), Shannon, Raul, and Margie as patient, kind, professional, calm, gentle, encouraging, and focused, and note experiences with children ranging from 9 months to six years old and up, as well as adults learning to swim. Multiple parents report that their children now float, turn in the water, roll over and float on their own, jump off the diving board, or swim with confidence, and some mention that they chose WeAquatics after trying other programs such as county classes, Alexandria programs, or the YMCA. One parent notes that support staff are efficient and communicative with scheduling and rescheduling.
