Family Camp at Quest’s Camp Thunderbird includes practicing wilderness skills, archery, canoeing, nature walks, swimming, swimming pool fun, and a paddle boat ride. Families also take part in arts and crafts, basketball, disk golf, sports and games, ecology activities, and campfire building with s’mores and s’mores around the campfire, along with the opportunity to socialize.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Family Camp Day programming starts at 2:30 p.m. and concludes at 5:30 p.m.
• Price: Family Camp Day | $40 per family of 4. Family Camp Day + Dinner | $55 per family of 4.
Quest’s Camp Thunderbird was established by Herb Holm in 1969. Its mission is to help people with developmental disabilities experience a full life. Camp Thunderbird is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), which verifies that the camp complies with health, safety and program standards. Family Camp at Quest’s Camp Thunderbird is made possible by The Universal Orlando Foundation, with additional volunteer support from Disney VoluntEARS and the Rotary Club of Maitland. Quest, Inc. embraces people from all walks of life and works to maintain an inclusive environment, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and respected regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation. Camp Thunderbird is not responsible for lost items, and it is a recommendation that all participants disconnect from technology while participating in activities.
