Lake County Rowing Association Youth Programs

Lake County Rowing Association Youth Programs includes Youth Learn To Row Camps, High Performance / U23 / High School Returners Camps, and Middle School New Rowers and Returners Sweep Rowing Camps. Youth Learn To Row Camps use eight- and four-person rowing shells and include land training, video sessions, and rowing on the water. The program runs summer youth camps throughout the summer.

Programs

• Youth Learn To Row Camps — Students entering 6th grade and above; no experience necessary · Mon-Fri, 8:00am-10:00am · $220 per session · Two-week sessions; campers can register for one, two, or all three sessions. Sibling discount: $25.
• High Performance / U23 / High School Returners Camps — Entering 9th grade and above; high school rowers and coxswains with at least one season of rowing experience or at least three Learn to Row camps; rowers under 23 years old in 2026 · Mon-Fri, 6:00am-8:00am · $250 per session · Two-week sessions; camper can register for one week, several weeks, or all three sessions. Sibling discount: $25.
• Middle School New Rowers and Returners Sweep Rowing Camps — Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders; middle school rowers and coxswains with at least one season of rowing experience or a Learn to Row camp this summer · Mon-Fri, 5:00pm-7:00pm · $125 per session · Weekly sessions; campers can register for one or both sessions. Multi-session discounts are available. Sibling discount: $25.

About the provider

Lake County Rowing Association was founded in 2011 as a non-profit with the goal of promoting rowing in Lake County while also encouraging people from across the nation to visit the lakes and waterways. The club has hosted several friendly regattas, the annual Leader of the Lake, the Clermont Cardboard Classic, and has been the temporary home to multiple National Rowing Teams.

Limited seats are available and fill up. No experience is necessary for Learn To Row Camps. LTR athletes need sufficient proficiency to meet safety standards to participate in the Halifax Summer Regatta, determined by coaches. Athlete must attend the Halifax Prep Camp July 20-24th to participate in the regatta. Regatta expenses are not included.
