Coral Springs Montessori School offers classroom science lessons such as matching rocks, studying parts of animals and plants, exploring magnetic versus non-magnetic objects, learning about the solar system, and observing what sinks. Coral Springs Montessori School utilizes the Montessori philosophy and methodology developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s and follows state standards as well as Montessori accreditation through AMS. The Montessori curriculum is based around methods to observe and support the natural development of children that has been tested worldwide for over 100 years, with classrooms divided into Language, Math, Geography, Science, Art, Practical Life, and Sensorial. Classrooms are child-centered environments, carefully prepared with attractive, durable, and developmentally appropriate hands-on lessons, with order emphasized so that everything has its place and the environment is as accessible as possible for children.

Montessori educators, referred to as Directresses, gently guide rather than control children’s activities and are considered more analysts than traditional teachers, and the school’s early learning leaders are extensively trained and certified on the use and purpose of each Montessori lesson across the curriculum. All Directresses are certified Montessori from AMS, and the school is not a chain or a franchise.
