Coral Springs Montessori School

Coral Springs Montessori School offers toddler classes, preschool, kindergarten, Florida Voluntary Pre-K, summer camp, and after school classes. The toddler classrooms use specially measured spaces for little children, preschool children work with self-correcting materials on open racks in five defined zones, and kindergarten children and children in Florida Voluntary Pre-K attend five days a week with half-day and full-day schedules offered. After school classes include singing and art.

Programs

• Toddlers - Blue Door — 18 months - 2 1/2 year · Children are placed based upon age and skill levels. Classrooms are specially measured for little children and are intended to challenge the child yet permit independent learning.
• Preschool - Yellow Door — 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 yrs · Children work from self-correcting materials on open racks in five defined zones.
• Kindergartner - Green & Red Door — 3 1/2 - 6 year
• Florida Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) — 5 days a week · Kindergarten children and children participating in the Florida Voluntary Pre-K program must attend 5 days a week. Half-day and full-day schedules are offered.
• Summer Camp — Enrollment is promoted on the site.
• After school classes — Examples given include singing and art.

About the provider

Coral Springs Montessori School has been around since 1991. The director is Radhika Agrawal. The school says its early learning leaders are extensively trained and certified on the use and purpose of each Montessori lesson across the Montessori curriculum, and its educators are all certified Montessori from AMS. It also follows state standards and the Montessori accreditation through AMS.

Children are not forced or rushed in their lessons. Children must be toilet trained before starting in Red or Green Door. Kindergarten children and children participating in VPK must attend 5 days a week.
