Camps and Classes at the Museum of Art – DeLand take place within a visual arts museum that maintains a Permanent Collection of more than 750 pieces of art. The program runs in a setting that hosts several rotating exhibits, gallery talks, receptions, educational programming, master artist workshops, and special events throughout the year. Several dozen selected works from the Permanent Collection are on view in the galleries, and the museum also exhibits special works from time to time that are on long term loan from artists, collectors, and other institutions.
The Museum of Art – DeLand operates as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit visual arts museum with a mission focused on the collection, preservation, study, exhibition, and educational use of fine arts. It is recognized statewide by its peers for academic excellence and community outreach. Programs of the museum are supported in part by Volusia County, Florida.
