The YMCA of Southwest Florida has served the community for over 50 years. The Mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. YMCA of Southwest Florida is an inclusive, nonprofit organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. The YMCA of Southwest Florida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, and is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone. The YMCA envisions its organization as an intergenerational community hub with programs, services, and resources available to all persons, regardless of status or ability to pay. The YMCA recognizes the strength of diversity in school-age programs and makes every reasonable accommodation for all children’s success. The YMCA very openly welcomes third party paraprofessionals and behavioral therapists to accompany children in programs. The YMCA strives to make high-quality programs accessible to all families, regardless of financial situation, and offers scholarship information and applications for eligibility.
