BIONIC Summer Camp is run by B.I.O.N.I.C. Foundation Inc. (Believe It or Not, I Care) and includes academic enrichment, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, mental health support, sports, and Bible study. The program combines these activities in a faith-based setting.
B.I.O.N.I.C. Foundation Inc. was founded in 2013 by Sherman Johnson. The organization’s mission is to empower and uplift individuals through faith, education, and community support by providing resources for the homeless, mentorship for at-risk youth, and opportunities for personal growth. Its early initiatives included teaming up with other organizations to host concerts and special events that shared the gospel, public information about career opportunities, and access to public assistance programs. One community member described the foundation as “a beacon of hope” and expressed gratitude for its kindness and dedication.
