BIONIC Summer Camp includes academic enrichment, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, mental health support, sports, and Bible study. The program encourages youth to engage with their communities, develop leadership skills, and gain confidence through these activities.
BIONIC Summer Camp is part of B.I.O.N.I.C. Foundation Inc. (Believe It or Not, I Care), which was founded in 2013 by Sherman Johnson. The Foundation’s mission is to empower and uplift individuals through faith, education, and community support, including providing resources for the homeless and mentorship for at-risk youth. Its early initiatives included teaming up with other organizations to host concerts and special events that shared the gospel, public information about career opportunities, and access to public assistance programs. One community member described the Foundation as “a beacon of hope” and expressed gratitude for its kindness and dedication.
