The Learning Center has been providing high-quality, affordable early education programs to little ones for more than a decade. Early learning and childcare programs at the center support brain development, early literacy, and healthy habits, with primary care for preschoolers and school-aged children centered around YMCA core values. The mission of the Learning Center is to help children develop self-confidence and learn to work with others, and to provide early childhood education and development in key areas to help children grow up healthy, happy, and strong.

The program includes Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) that prepares children for school by enhancing pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills, with a specific focus on kindergarten readiness. Wrap-around VPK care is available before and/or after regular VPK operating hours, and wrap care options are offered before or after the regular VPK program hours. Before and after school care includes academic support and recreational activities, and families in the Before & After School programs receive priority access to sports and other programming.

Classrooms are described as designed to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment, with state-of-the-art facilities equipped with age-appropriate resources and learning materials, along with access to an indoor gym and spacious outdoor fields. The program uses the Frog Street Curriculum, which is designed around the latest scientific early brain development research for newborn children to kids ages 5 and older. It also uses Conscious Discipline to promote social-emotional development and build strong relationships, and follows an outstanding curriculum with a focus on character development and building relationships.

Staff at Osceola YMCA Learning Center Youth Programs meet all DCF licensing standards and requirements, and class sizes are in compliance with DCF regulations, with low teacher/student ratios. The program offers a holistic approach with high-quality, affordable early education programs, and provides an inclusive and welcoming learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity. Spanish-speaking team members are on-site, electronic payments are available online, and both part-time and full-time care options are offered. The program focuses on fostering academic readiness, nurturing social readiness, promoting independence, building communication skills, and partnering with parents.
