New Hope for Kids – Center for Grieving Children & Wishes for Kids Program operates two core programs: The David C. Joswick Center for Grieving Children and the Wishes for Kids Program. The program grants wishes to children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and provides a setting where children grieving the death of a loved one can share their experience with others facing the same feelings of loss. It offers comprehensive grief support and life-enriching wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Established in 1996, New Hope for Kids provides support to children and families grieving the loss of a loved one and fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions. Its mission states that it is dedicated to healing hearts and fostering hope and that it empowers the community through comprehensive support programs and transformative experiences. New Hope for Kids is the largest independent child-based grief support program in Central Florida and serves as a community-fueled resource providing grief support for those who are grieving the death of a loved one and granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in Central Florida. The organization’s leadership includes Brian Clark, President and CEO. Recognitions include winning the first Winter Park Health Foundation Grant Challenge Showcase, being selected for EBI’s Empowering Good Initiative, and being honored by the Maitland City Council on Children’s Grief Awareness Day.
