Deering Estate Camps & Youth Programs take place at a 21st Century house museum and cultural and ecological field station that is listed as a national landmark on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as one of seven Miami-Dade County “Heritage Parks.” The Guided Museum Tour has no additional charge after paying general admission and is free for Foundation Members, and all guests, including Foundation Members, are required to sign up at the Main Gate before the guided museum tour begins, with space limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Stone House is closed to the public for renovation and restoration as of Monday, April 28, 2025, while the rest of the Estate remains open for exploration. To request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, CART, or other accommodations to participate in any Miami-Dade Parks–sponsored program or meeting, families can contact Gisel Prado at 305-755-7848 or [email protected] at least 7 days in advance, and TTY users may call 711 (Florida Relay Service).
