K Martial Arts states a mission of focusing on family values and real training, teaching real Taekwondo, strengthening students’ minds, and developing capable, compassionate leaders for the future who can defend themselves and others. The school emphasizes Korean culture and uses the Korean language in class, with students progressively using more Korean until they can perform commands in Korean for their black belt test. The program follows Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo) standards, practices both Traditional Style and Olympic Style Taekwondo, and provides official Kukkiwon certification, which it describes as having worldwide recognition.

Owner and head instructor Dae Gil Jung has been practicing Taekwondo for 33 years, and Master Daniel is an instructor at K Martial Arts. Trial classes are taught by certified black belt instructors, and the program states that there are at least two focused masters and instructors in each class. The school enforces the Tenets of Taekwondo, including hard work, respect, discipline, focus, perseverance, obedience to parents, and indomitable spirit.

The program offers a free trial class that includes one free group class, observation of classes, a personal tour of the facilities, discussion of goals, a review of the class schedule, and a review of curriculum and program options. It offers early, late, and Saturday classes, private lessons scheduled at the student’s convenience, weapons training on Fridays, and regular seminars on women’s self-defense, weapons, and sparring. Day, spring, summer, and winter camps are offered when there is no school, and there is a monthly Parent’s Night Out.

K Martial Arts offers family discounts and a Family class where families can train together. The program states that anyone can begin martial arts at any age and any fitness level. It requires only 9 tests to receive a black belt over roughly a 3.5-year period, does not charge for colored tape, and provides what it describes as the correct number of belts and tests. Little Tigers have the option of purchasing only head and chest protection at a lower cost, and gear is sold at almost no profit, with uniforms described as very affordable.

The school uses high-quality mats that are three times thicker than most schools and are described as free of hazardous chemicals. Equipment includes resistance bands, hurdles, targets, shield targets, standing bags, and full sparring gear that is the same equipment that Olympic athletes would use. Classes do not include dodgeball or games and instead use conditioning exercises that are described as being disguised as fun.

Parent testimonials describe positive support and encouragement for young children, intensive exercise, teaching positive thinking and resilience, and skilled instructors who show kids discipline. One parent, Dana Rosen, states, “As a teacher, parent and grandparent I have never seen such positive support and encouragement for young children. I wish every child could experience K MartialArts and these superb instructors!!!” John Taylor states, “I highly recommend K Martial Arts which offers not just intensive exercise but also teaches positive thinking and resilience!” and Rina Brick states, “My son is having a great time! skilled instructors and a great way to show the kids discipline.”
